Unexpected Blog Break

The backlight on my laptop stopped working and so did I.

I’m making this post from my husband’s computer (ugh). It works well enough, but once you get used to working on your own system with your own software adjusted to your own settings, it’s a bit annoying working on someone else’s system.

I tried using my daughter’s computer…double ugh! So, rather than frustrate myself trying to continue with business as usual, I’m taking an unexpected break.

When my laptop returns, so will I. In the meanwhile, Fido and I will spend a bit more time getting some fresh air and exercise.

I feel your pain, Felicia! My laptop bit the dust a few nights ago. (And I’ll need to buy another one … it’s the motherboard.) Even though I’ve been granted the use of my significant other’s machine — and should feel very grateful — it’s just not the same. I hate Vista, for one thing, and miss boring old Windows XP.

Truth be told, I’ll probably huff-and-puff and complain bitterly and pout until the moment when I unpack a spanking new laptop. But it sounds to me like you’re a resourceful, patient person who knows how to make lemonade out of lemons. Good for you!

Enjoy your well-deserved walks with “Fido” … :p

I’m a big believer in circumstances occurring for a reason. How often does something happen and it seems to be such a bad thing at the time, only to find the event has pushed us into the direction we need to go for our development. Of course, sometimes it’s just a busted laptop!
    Enjoy going with the flow…

It’s nice taking a break every now and then! I hope your laptop returns, that is a frightening scenario for me! LOL Considering the keyboard is an extension of my fingers most days! 🙂
