Further to my earlier posts on Pay Per Post and Putting My Money Where My Mouth Is, I received my first Pay Per Post payment. It all happened rather quickly. I submitted my blog to Pay Per Post on July 30th, it was approved on July 31st and I received my fist payment today, August 6th. Not too shabby.

Three Ways to Earn

As I mentioned before, there are three ways to earn money with Pay Per Post. I’ve earned (but have yet to be paid for) money using the referral method. Apparently it’s easy to earn money that way, but not so easy to get paid. Payment depends on whether or not the referred bloggers actually blog and earn money with Pay Per Post.

Since I have no control over referrals that have signed up as a result of reading my post, all I can do is hope that they eventually earn money with Pay Per Post.

Available Opportunities

I have yet to earn money via the traditional Pay Per Post blogging opportunities. Currently there are two opportunities that my approved blog qualifies for. The subject matter for one opportunity doesn’t conform to the topic of my blog, and when I attempt to claim the other opportunity, I receive the following message: “All of the available posts for that opportunity have already been taken.” I don’t quite understand why the opportunities still appear if all the posts have been taken.

Direct contact with Advertisers

The third option, Pay Per Post Direct, is the way I earned money with my first post. I was contacted directly from an advertiser with the guidelines for the post. I followed the guidelines, wrote the post, submitted the URL to the advertiser and within 24 hours my PayPal account was credited.

It was easy and painless.

Oh, by the way for those folks who believe that your blog must have a page rank and that Pay Per Post does not accept blogs on the Blogger.com platform, my approved blog (as of this writing) has a non existent page rank and is hosted by Blogger.com.

In an earlier post I mentioned that I was starting a new blog to show my readers how to earn money through Pay Per Post. The Pay Per Post requirement for a blog be accepted into their program is that the blog has to be at least 30 days old with a minimum of 10 within the 30-day period time.

A little above and a little beyond the means that I’m going to go a little above the 10 posts a little beyond 30 days. I think sometimes we set our bar a little low and then we sit around biting our nails hoping to be accepted because we managed to scrape by with the minimum requirement. I understand that everyone is in a rush to make money and to get to the next level but sometimes taking that little extra time to go above and beyond will give you peace of mind.

That being said, I won’t submit my blog to Pay Per Post for a approval until my new blog is at least 45 days old with 15 to 20 blog entries. By doing that, I won’t have to worry about being accepted. In the meanwhile, I’ll find quality affiliate programs to blog about and begin the money making process.

There was a comment in the myLot forum that stated that Pay Per Post will only accept blogs with a page rank. While there are some pay for posting sites that only accept ranked blogs Pay Per Post is not one of them.

Don’t get me wrong, page rank will definitely improve one’s money making ability with Pay Per Post, but it won’t stop you from making money if you don’t have a page rank.

Having said that, if you want to improve your money making potential with your blog, don’t wait until the last minute to try to improve your page rank. Start getting backlinks early. Getting quality backlinks helps to improve your blog’s page rank.

Early on in the life of your blog, you can submit your blog to social networking sites such as Digg, Reddit, Mixx and others. There are hundreds of social networking sites out there. Here’s a list of social networking sites I came across on the internet. Choose a few and submit your blog posts to them. For more exposure, you should submit individual blog posts, not just the blog’s main domain. You want as many free backlinks as possible.

The submission process may be a little time consuming, but in the long run it will be worth it. The quicker your rankings increase, the more advertising opportunities you’ll have with PPP.

Once you’ve got a few blog posts under your belt, you can seek other blogs that have similar interest and add useful informative comments. Be sure to include your blog’s link in your comment if allowed. Don’t spam other blogs, contribute.

Do the same thing with forums. Use your blog in your signature tag and contribute thoughtful helpful comments in forums.

Spend a little time marketing your site. The more you get the word out, the better your page rank. In the meanwhile, be sure to get the minimum of 10 posts within 30 days on your new blog so that your blog will be approved by Pay Per Post.

I’m starting out with the easiest way, that is by referrals.

I do fully intend to earn money by blogging for them but right now my writing plate is extremely full. I’ve got a few blogs, websites and writing assignments going so I have to put writing for Pay Per Post on the back burner for right now.

Anyhow, I realize that they pay a $15 referral fee per referral. Not bad, huh? Check them out. What have you got to lose?

Pay Per Post is one of the many ways in which bloggers can earn money with their blogs. One attractive feature that Pay Per Post has is that it offers several ways for a blogger to earn.

Option I

Bloggers have the option to accept an offer from a Pay Per Post advertiser to submit a blog entry based upon the advertiser’s criteria. Once approved, the blogger receives payment in amount agreed upon.

Option II

If option number one doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, Pay Per Post offers the opportunity for you, as a blogger, to negotiate directly with an advertiser. This option is called Pay Per Post Direct.

In order to take advantage of this opportunity, you would have to insert code on your blog. Once installed, the code will display a little widget, which lets advertisers know that you are open for paid blogging. Advertisers will then contact you directly and begin the blog/price negotiation process.

Use care when selecting this option. If your blog’s readers come to your blog because of its authenticity, you may run the risk of letting your readers down if they know that your objectivity is tainted because you are being paid to follow an advertisers criterion. If your readers become disillusioned your blog’s traffic might suffer as a result.

If, however, your readers understand that you offer information about products and services and are not bothered by your being paid for your blog posts, then by all means take advantage of this option.

Option III

If options one and two aren’t your bailiwick, Pay Per Post offers yet a third option. You can become a Pay Per Post affiliate. This seems to be the least painful of all options. All you need is you put a bit of code that will result in an image on your website or your blog letting your readers know that the Pay Per Post opportunity exists and that they could sign up and begin earning money to blog.

Some people choose all three options or pick and choose one or two of them. Folks are earning money with Pay Per Post.

Page Rank Matters

Pay Per Post Advertisers prefer blogs with a page rank of at least 3. If your blog has a low page rank you won’t be able to participate in as many offers as a blog with a higher ranking.

Requirements for Blog Approval

In order to be able to make money using Option I, your blog must be currently active. Pay Per Post checks to see if your blog has at least 10 entries within the past 30 days. If not, then you’ll have to utilize Option II. Once your blog achieves the status of 10 blog entries within a 30-day period of time, you can then resubmit it for approval in order to use Option I.

Test it With Me

I decided to put myself to the test. Why not join me. I’m going to show you how you can make money with Pay Per Post. I’ve decided to Put My Mony Where my Mouth Is. Why not join me and follow my progress?
