About

This is a brand new site (recently changed to blog format) and still in the in the development stages a blog about freelance writing.

No Job for MoOfficem is all about the journey of leaving the commute, the boss and the steady paycheck to be able to call the shots, earn residual income and work from home. Bottom line, it’s about freedom! My goal is to share what I’ve learned along the way in order to help other parents (and non parents) free themselves from the rat race in order to have a more fulfilling life and be able to spend more quality time raising happy healthy kids.

Actually, the site should really be “No Traditional Job for Mom,” but the web address would be way too long. It takes just as much hard work to replace traditional income as it does to work at a traditional job. The beauty of working for yourself is that you are calling the shots and doing what you love to do. If you’re not doing what you love…don’t quit your day job. It will take passion, focus and tenacity to earn significant money on the internet. If you don’t have it in you, then you had better stop surfing the net and get back to your day job.

There are several ways parents (and non-parents) can earn significant money from the comfort of home. This site is dedicated to sharing my work from home experience while earning income through the internet.

A little about me: I’ve been dabbling on the internet for a little over 10 years now. Nothing serious, just dabbling. A site here, a blog there, an article here a pay per click there.

A year ago Two and a half years ago I got serious about this stuff. I was working at a job and realized that I could net more moneyThe Road to Self Employment from the internet than I was taking home from the job. Think about it, there’s the commute, the clothes, the lunches, the office social pool (in large offices there is an event a week at about $5 to $10 a pop), lunches, etc. I added it all up and subtracted it from my take-home pay and said, “Man, there’s got to be a better way.” To top it off, I didn’t enjoy the job.

My advancing years told me that if not now, when? So, I decided to get serious about this web stuff. I quit my job to work from home full-time. Here’s what I’ve learned so far and I’ll share as I continue to learn.

Please feel free to share your work at home experiences.  Your experiences can help others.

Enjoy!
