Where’s the Money?

Let me preface this by saying, I know Suite 101 is a legitimate site and that the current late payment is nothing to worry about. Having said that…

“Give me my money.”

My son and hubby love to watch the show the Family Guy. There’s something about a kid hating his mom stops me from watching the show (I don’t know, call me weird).

Anyway, there is an episode where the dog apparently owed Stewie (the obnoxious baby) money and Stewie beat the tar out of the dog in attempts to get his money, all the while chanting “Give me my money. Where’s the money?”

Make Money with TextbrokerAd: Grandma's Little Black Book: How to Make Money Freelance Writing for Textbroker is a must have for folks looking to make extra money writing. Grandma earned over $2,000 in one month with Textbroker and shares how she did it in her book. If she can do it, you can too.

Well, that has been the chant in my house for a few days with the absence of the Suite payment. You see, my oven has been acting crazy for a bit and it’s time for a new one. I decided to treat myself to a new oven with my writing earnings. After all Thanksgiving is right around the corner and since I do most of the cooking I think a new oven is not a frivolous expenditure.

Researched and Priced

I spent quite a bit of time researching and locating the best price. I’ve been to the store and visited my new appliance to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. With my eHow and Suite 101 earnings I have more than enough to purchase the oven, have it installed and finance Thanksgiving dinner. There’s only one problem…”Where’s my money?”

Momma Stewie

Where is the Money? It’s now a joke in the house. Every time I turn on my computer, everyone looks at me and waits…”Where’s the money?” It’s the first thing I ask after opening my email program.

In the couple of years that I’ve been writing for Suite, I believe this is the latest they have ever issued payment. I know they’re good for it, but I’d sure like to have my oven installed before Thanksgiving. In the meanwhile, I write, I wait and I ask, “Where’s the money?”

  4. LOL! That has been my family exactly for the the last week. Where’s the money! Glad we finally got it, though it’s already gone since I had to pay all those late bills the late payment caused. ;)

  5. I wonder if they could make payment be on one set day? I saw on the forums that several people were miffed. Hmmm…

  6. Having a set date would be great, but if they pay us after Google and other advertisers pay them, they might not be able to commit to a set date.

I know that my Google payment dates vary from month to month. I guess it’s something that we online freelance writers have to get used to. :)

  7. Ah! Good point!
