Hi Lissie,

I've become a fan of your blog. As a matter of fact, your blog (one post in particular) has become the subject of one of my future blog posts.

Keep up the great work!

He says it all here: "they were carefully selected keywords with minimal competition." in a reply. I am hoping to hit the $500 mark in Adsense this month and its entirely about writing topics that people want information on, there isn't too much competition for and which have a good CPC. Its a lot more about backlinks than anything else. I have a love/hate thing going with Ezinearticles but they do work for both backlinks and traffic - but you have to do qantity -think at least 10 articles for each keyword. I make most of money on Hubpages but I am going to start ramping up my own sites in the next month or so.

Thanks, Felicia. Great advice, as usual. Especially the part about not over-analyzing things. I think this upcoming year will be a very good learning experience for me. :)

Hi Eve,

I guess the proof of the SEO value is in the pudding. The poster in this thread went from $0 to $35 a day and more in Google AdSense in a relatively short period of time. To use a phrase that my daughter hates "There is more than one way of skinning a cat." You've got to use what works for you and put in the work that you're willing to put in.

Creating the site is the easy part. Getting the backlinks, search engine rankings and plenty of traffic is the difficult part. This person offered to share what works for him.

Personally, when I first started out I used ezine articles and submitted a few articles. I didn't see much of a return, but as I said I was just starting out. I knew very little about SEO and keywords. I probably would see a better return now as I've learned quite a bit over the past couple of years.

This person's system obviously works for him. It all boils down to whether or not you wish to use his tactics or try something else. Just be careful not to spend too much time analyzing things. It tends to get in the way of getting things done.

Felicia, do you follow the advice on that thread? Submitting ezine articles just for the backlinks ... I'm trying to do that now, and it seems like double the work, if you know what I mean. Is the SEO value really that much? I just launched a niche site and am looking to monetize (no luck so far) and have been wading through a lot of SEO tactics. Just curious if you agree with this one.
