I build my websites primarily from scratch. I use an old HTML editor (I mean very old) called Homesite. I'm still using version 4. I don't think they're in existence anymore. I created my first website using Notepad (it's really not very difficult). Blogs are a lot easier and probably much more search engine friendly. I'm experimenting with building a static site using WordPress. I haven't quite worked out the kinks as yet, but the site does not allow for comments and so far I'm linking all of the posts to the main page. The site is very small but if I add many more pages, I'm going to have to rethink the idea of linking everything to the main page. The great thing about the internet is that you can experiment. If one blog/site doesn't work, you can always create a new one. In addition to the WordPress site, I'm also creating another static site using very basic HTML.
