My laptop bit the dust a few nights ago. (And I'll need to buy another one ... it's the motherboard.) Even though I've been granted the use of my significant other's machine -- and should feel very grateful -- it's just not the same. I hate Vista, for one thing, and miss boring old Windows XP. Truth be told, I'll probably huff-and-puff and complain bitterly and pout until the moment when I unpack a spanking new laptop. But it sounds to me like you're a resourceful, patient person who knows how to make lemonade out of lemons. Good for you! Enjoy your well-deserved walks with "Fido" ... :p I feel your pain, Felicia!
