The good thing about obsessive writing is that you'll either burn out or get writers blog so you're forced to get back on the right track. The trick is to identify the early stages of each before too much damage is done. When I began my daily writing with an airline "barf bag" next to my laptop, I realized that I was burnt out and needed to make a change. Writing should never cause nausea. :) You’ll find that the obsession will come and go.
