Take Control of Your Earnings in This Unsure Economy

The economy isn’t something that I can control. I can’t control the rising unemployment numbers or the falling stock market. I sure can’t control the rising food and energy prices and the current housing market decline. As bleak as this all sounds, I can’t let it get me down because there is one thing I can control…that’s how much and how often I write.

The way I look at it I have two choices. I can sit around and complain about the bad economy and the rising prices, or, I can come up with a way to increase my productivity and my earnings. I choose to do the latter. It’s my recommendation that you do so too.

I very recently started writing for eHow. After purchasing the ebook “How to Earn Passive Income at eHow.com,” I started doing a little more research. The invaluable tips found in the book apply not only to eHow, but they also apply to sites like Suite 101, Bukisa, Associated Content and other online writing sites.

You see, as a freelance writer writing for online sites, I have the ability to take some sort of control of myWrite earnings. Unlike a 9-5 job, where my salary would remain the same unless and until my employer decides to give me a raise, I can give myself a raise with a little more effort and consistency. It doesn’t happen over night, but it does happen.

So far, the downturn in the economy has not affected my online residual earnings. As a matter of fact, I expect my residual earnings to spike even more since I added eHow to my online arsenal.

Rather than sit around and lament about the economy, do what you can to survive. You have the ability to write, so get out there and write (it’s one of the few things you don’t have to spend money to do).

  1. Hey Felicia- I purchased the “How to Earn Passive Income at ehow.com” after I began to write a few articles. The book gave me such a better insight to how it should be done- there no sense in trying to recreate the wheel. I feel my drive this that more focused.Again thanks for sharing information with us all!!!

  2. I’m glad you’re having the same positive response using the book as I am. I started implementing the practices mentioned in the book a few weeks ago. I’ll report my progress once I hit the 30 day mark.
