Don’t Quit Your Day Job…Yet

If you are currently employed and unhappy with your job situation, don’t wait until the thought of your job makes you nauseous before you begin to look into new money making opportunities. The minute you get the first inkling of dissatisfaction with your current job, evaluate your options. The way I look at it, you have a few options:

  1. Keep the current job and keep complaining
  2. Go out and look for another job.
  3. Begin to build a financial foundation that will create wealth in the long run.

Since the name of this website is called No Job for Mom, you can only guess which option I decided to take.

Create Your Own Wealth

Option three, creating your own financial foundation, is not an overnight cure all. That’s why it is important to begin before you’re at the end of your employment rope. If you are already so disgusted with your job that you’ve missed so many days of work and are on the verge of getting fired, I strongly suggest that you choose option number two, look for another job.

Building your own financial foundation will create wealth and pay off in the long run but it takes time, planning and hard work. You first have to decide on how you’re going to build your financial foundation. Are you going to use an existing program available on the internet or are you going to sell your own product or service?

If you’re using an existing program, take the time to research the company thoroughly and make sure it’s a program you will enjoy doing. The last thing you want to do is spend the time in building a business only to find out you hate it. You don’t want to leap from the frying pan right smack dab in the middle of the fire. It’s difficult making money when you hate what you’re doing. Contrary to popular belief, making money should be fun.

Internet as a Tool

The Internet has made the opportunity to create internet wealth a lot easier. Unlike the days of old you don’t have to stock up on inventory and chase people down to buy from the stock of products that have lined an entire wall in your house or apartment. The need to lug around a large suitcase of products from house to house is replaced by the ability to view and order the products online.

Although the internet has made it easier and cheaper to go into business, one thing has not changed; you still need to attract people to purchase your product or buy your services. Attracting people (visitors) takes time and consistent effort. That’s where the love for the business comes in. If you don’t love it enough to suffer through the tenuous times in the beginning, you’re sunk.

Strategically placing one ad isn’t enough to bring in the customers in droves. Similarly, building one fantastic looking website isn’t enough to have Google send hoards of people to your website. You’ve got to take the time to learn how the internet operates (SEO) in order to attract the visitors/customers you want.

Time Management

Use your time wisely. While your current employer is still paying you, use your spare time to search for your financial vehicle that will help you create wealth. Spend time learning how to build and maintain a business over the internet. Armed with a lunch hour, an internet connection and a reliable search engine, you can learn all you need to know. Put your spare time to good use. There’s money to be made via the internet.
